There are so many lip makeup products on the market right now to enhance the lips. Within this highly competitive area its easy to end up buying products that are unsuitable for you or are simply fashionable regardless of whether they flatter your face and skin tone.
A good way of deciding which colours will suit you is by finding out if you have cool or warm toned skin. Cool skin tones can carry off very different shades than warm toned skin. Once you know this secret you will find choosing products a quicker process. The best way to discover which skin tone you have is by the natural colour of your hair. Brunettes and dark haired people tend to be cool skinned where as blondes usually have warm skin tones. There are exceptions to this rule though . If you were to choose a lip liner far darker than your natural lip colour as your lipstick gradually fades through the day the lip liner would become more obvious, not a look you want.
Some people decide to take the rather drastic step of having permanent lip makeup applied in the form of tattooing. Whilst this might be suitable for certain people who wish to make their lips appear fuller by having their outline enlarged most people do not need to consider this as an option . Careful application of lip products are able to give great results with a little practice.
Lipsticks themselves come in many different varieties. You can purchase moisturising lipsticks intended to give you a splash of colour along with moisture rich ingredients to keep your lips in tip top condition.
Long stay lipsticks can come as a one application stick or more often are sold in a 3 stage kit. The first stage usually involves applying a fairly dry colour tint. You then brush over a fixing solution that helps to keep the tint in place before finally adding a gloss to give the colour tint a shine. These long stay lipsticks should stay put all day and not need re-applying.
If you prefer a more natural look then one of the many lip glosses found on sale over makeup counters may be a better option for you. Lip gloss makeup is ideal for giving you a fresh faced look. Some glosses are tinted and others clear but all of them have the added bonus of making your lips appear fuller.
Regardless of which products you choose, lip makeup should be fun to wear so don’t be afraid of experimenting with the different types and colours. With different looks for evening and day time it should never be difficult to come up with something creative.
